KMB and LWB Offer Free Rides for People with Disabilities on “International Day of Disabled Persons”
KMB and LWB have supported the “International Day of Disabled Persons” event organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for years. To show our support, KMB and LWB will offer free rides on all its bus routes for people with disabilities and one accompanying carer on Sunday 11 November 2018. To enjoy a free ride, passengers holding the “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” need only show their card when boarding the bus, while those holding a personalised Octopus card for “Persons with Disabilities” should swipe their card when boarding. The amount deducted for such Octopus card transactions will be set at $0 on that day.
To meet the needs of the disabled, the KMB and LWB fleets are equipped with the Electronic Bus Stop Announcement System, super-low floor, ramp, non-slip handrails and a wheelchair space.
Complete route details will be available on App1933 and the KMB website. Passengers may also call the KMB Customer Service Hotline on 2745-4466 or Live Chat with us on App1933 or the KMB website.
