Long Win Renumbers Route A31P as A38 with Coverage Expansion to Tsuen King Circuit and Tsing Lung Tau

To provide a more convenient bus service for passengers in Tsuen Wan District, with effect from 21 September 2019 (Saturday), Long Win Bus Company Limited (“LWB”) will renumber Route A31P [Tsuen Wan (Discovery Park) ⇄ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)] as Route A38, extending the coverage to Tsuen King Circuit and Tsing Lung Tau on a whole-day basis, and enhancing the Airport-bound service in the morning peak. Details are as follows:

Route A38 will set the terminal point at Allway Gardens in Tsuen Wan District, and will go via Tsuen Wan Centre, Tsuen King Garden, Belvedere Garden, Bayview Garden, The Bay Bridge, Royal View Hotel, Tsing Lung Tau Tsuen, Sea Crest Villa Phase 4, Sea Crest Villa Phase 3, Sham Tseng, the Lantau Link Toll Plaza and Airport Passenger Terminal Building before terminating at Airport (Ground Transportation Centre). The estimated journey time from Rhine Garden, Sham Tseng, to Terminal 1 is approximately 25 minutes. (The actual journey time depends on the traffic conditions.)

The service hours of departures from Tsuen Wan (Allway Gardens) will be revised to operate between 5:35 a.m. and 10:35 p.m. daily, in which a 30-minute headway will be provided between 6:35 a.m. and 7:35 a.m., while a 60-minute headway will be provided in other periods. The service hours will be extended for departures from Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), with departures every 60 minutes from 9:05 a.m. to 10:05 p.m., and then at 11:00 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. daily.

Passengers in Tsuen Wan (Discovery Park) can take Route A31 [Tsuen Wan (Nina Tower) ⇄ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)] to travel to the Airport as an alternative. Moreover, the trial operation of the special departure for Route A31 from Tsuen Wan to the Airport with an additional bus stop at Cathay Pacific City at 7:40 a.m. daily will be ended from the same day. Passengers may take other regular departures of Route A31 to the Airport, or interchange to Route S64 or S64X to go to Cathay Pacific City.

The full fare of Route A38 is $18.9. In addition, passengers can join the Bus-bus Interchange Scheme between Route A38 and Routes A31, A33X, A36 and A41 by interchanging at Terminal 2 or at the Lantau Link Toll Plaza when travelling between Tsuen Wan and the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Passengers of Route A38 can also interchange to any LWB “E” routes or to Route R8 at the Lantau Link Toll Plaza when travelling to Tung Chung or Disneyland Resort.
