KMB and LWB Offer Free Rides for Disabled Person on “International Day of Person with Disabilities”

KMB and LWB care for the needs of people with disabilities and will offer free rides on all their bus routes (including airport routes) for people with disabilities and one accompanying carer on Sunday 10 November 2019, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities event organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. To enjoy a free ride, passengers holding the “Registration Card for People with Disabilities” need to show their card when boarding the bus, while those holding a personalised Octopus card for “Persons with Disabilities” should tap their card when boarding. The amount deducted for such Octopus card transactions will be set at $0 on that day.

KMB and LWB have been improving bus facilities to meet the different needs of customers. KMB and LWB fleets are equipped with accessible facilities for easy boarding and alighting, including super-low floor, wide entrance and exit doors, ramp, non-slip handrails and a wheelchair space, while the Electronic Bus Stop Announcement System indicates the next stop. To promote an inclusive society, we have regular meetings with the Guide Dogs Association to enhance bus captains' awareness of the use of guide dogs.

Passengers may call the KMB Customer Service Hotline on 2745-4466, LWB Customer Service Hotline on 2261-2791 or LiveChat with us on App1933, KMB website and LWB website for more details.
