LWB extends Bus-bus Interchange Discount Scheme covering to South Lantau Island for the first time(Updated)

Long Win Bus Company Limited (“LWB”) announces to launch of a new bus-bus interchange discount scheme, with effect from 8 May 2021 (Saturday), in cooperation with New Lantao Bus Company (1973) Limited (“NLB”). Octopus card users take 13 designated LWB routes from the New Territories transferring to three NLB routes to South Lantau Island at Tung Chung Town Centre, or taking NLB routes from South Lantau Island and transferring to designated LWB routes towards the New Territories, can enjoy a $1 discount. The scheme is on a trial basis for six months. LWB hopes that it brings more public transport choices. Passengers can enjoy preferential and convenient bus services to and from different districts in the New Territories and popular attractions in South Lantau Island. 

There are 13 LWB routes in the scheme (table below for more details) and NLB Routes 3M, 11, and 23, which travel to Mui Wo, Tai O, and Ngong Ping. Passengers pay the fare of the two eligible trips by the same Octopus card and transfer within 150 minutes to enjoy the second journey fare discount. The discount for adult and valid holders of a personalized Octopus card with student status on the second leg is $1. Holder of a Child Octopus card can enjoy a $0.5 fare discount.

Starting from 20 June 2021, Route E34A will be reorganised to E37 [Tin Shui Wai Town Centre ⇋  Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)], Route E34B will be reorganised to E36 [Pat Heung Road ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)]. New introduced Route E36A [Yuen Long (Tak Yip Street) ⇋ Tung Chung (Yat Tung)] and E36P [Yuen Long Sheung Tsuen ⇋ Asiaworld Expo] will be included in the scheme.
