Extension of KMB-Tram and KMB-AMS Interchange Discount Schemes 30 Cross-harbour Routes Applicable Including Express Route 900
The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has decided to extend the interchange discount schemes with Hong Kong Tramways (“HKT”) and AMS Public Transport Holdings Limited (“AMS”) to 30 June 2022. The schemes include the new cross-harbour express Route 900 (Pak Shek Kok ⇋ Wan Chai) launched this year earlier, making the total number of applicable routes 30.
In the KMB-Tram interchange discount scheme, Octopus Card users transferring from 30 designated KMB solely-operated cross-harbour routes to tram lines, and vice versa, may save the fare of a single tram journey, that is, $2.6 per for adults and $1.3 for children, per trip.
In the KMB-AMS interchange discount scheme, Octopus Card users can enjoy a discount when interchanging from 30 designated KMB solely-operated cross-harbour routes to 46 designated Hong Kong Island Green Minibus routes operated by AMS, and vice versa. Both Octopus Card users in adult and in student status can enjoy the $1 discount in their second legs.
Entering their fifth year, these two interchange discount schemes have been well received by the public. With the extended scheme for one more year, KMB will continue to serve passengers with economical and convenient journeys.
