KMB and LWB launch different Reward Schemes

The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited announced that the “KMB X LWB FUN Redemption Scheme” will provide more offers, including the 2021 Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival admission tickets and extending the scheme period to 30 September 2021. Passengers can earn more points to redeem their favourite gifts. At the same time, the “KMB Monthly Pass Wow Reward Scheme” will be launched from 1 July to 30 September. Passengers who purchase a Pass or extend the expiry date during the period can redeem gifts.

KMB X LWB FUN Redemption

1.      Use 400 points to redeem VIP tickets for the 2021 Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival 2021 Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival organised by The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, which offers a splendid shopping experience with fun for visitors, will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo from 6 to 8 August. Starting from 19 July, passengers who registered the FUN Redemption can redeem three VIP tickets with 400 points. Limited tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

2.  The period of FUN Redemption extends to 30 September

The FUN Redemption will be extended to 30 September 2021. Passengers can have more time exploring their favourite bus trips and earn more points.

Passengers need to register their Octopus number through App1933 to participate in the “FUN Redemption”. Using a registered valid Octopus Card or Octopus product to take any bus routes* operated by KMB or LWB, they can earn 0.1 points for every $0.1 spent. The point calculation is based on the actual fare expended. The points are valid for 30 days from the date it is earned.

Passengers can enjoy additional double points using a registered adult, student, or child Octopus card to take designated Cross-Harbour Tunnel Routes. They can earn 0.2 points for every $0.1 spent.

The elderly and eligible persons with disabilities who use the registered Octopus card can enjoy double points from Mondays to Fridays (except Public Holidays and 6:00 a.m. to 9:59 a.m.).

Starting from 1 July, the KMB Monthly Pass gift redemption event will be carried out as follows.

* Excluding jointly operated bus routes which are not operated by KMB and LWB, and Routes K12, K14, K17, and K18.

New “KMB Monthly Pass Wow Reward Scheme”

Passengers who purchase a KMB Monthly Pass or extend the expiry date from 1 July to 30 September can receive one of the following gifts for free.

All eligible Monthly Pass passengers should present the relevant Octopus cards or Octopus products at one of the designated locations during the specified period. Each Pass qualifies for one redemption only during the promotion period.

The Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme is applicable to KMB Monthly Pass. With the opportunity to take up to ten KMB trips per day, passengers can also buy the Pass for $587^# (original price: $780) at a discount of nearly 25%.

^#The Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme has been extended to 31 December 2021. The Monthly threshold of the scheme has been relaxes to $200 and the upper limit of the amount of subsidisation is $500. The amount of subsidisation is counted at 33.33%.
