Take Free KMB and LWB Rides on Senior Citizens Day with Your Identity Documents

On 21 November (Sunday), KMB and LWB will support the annual Senior Citizens Day event organised by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service by offering free rides to eligible elderly.

To enjoy free rides, people aged 65 and above need to show their Senior Citizen Card, Hong Kong Identity Card or travel documents, or tap their Elder Octopus card for fare payment when boarding on any KMB or LWB bus routes (Except Routes P960 and P968). The amount deducted for such Octopus transactions will be set at $0 on that day.

KMB and LWB are committed to building an elderly-friendly community. We donate “Caring Bus Stop” and relevant facilities to the elderly centres and care homes for the elderly to create a pleasant living environment. The donation can also help staff members of the elderly centres deliver training to patients with dementia and ease the wandering problems. Furthermore, KMB and LWB have enhanced the signalling system on our bus fleets to help families look for their members who suffer from dementia and go missing. The KMB Customer Service Hotline has added a shortcut key for finding missing elderly assistance.

The fleets of KMB and LWB are equipped with various accessible facilities, including non-slip flooring, priority seats, seatbelts, a ramp and a wheelchair space. Some compartments are designed to provide two wheelchair parking spaces. We also remind passengers to hold handrails and stay safe with the onboard broadcast system.

Passengers may call the KMB Customer Service Hotline on 2745-4466, Long Win Customer Service Hotline on 2261-2791, or visit KMB and LWB website or App1933 for more details.
