Charity bidding for 77 Nostalgic KMB Bus Route Signages
KMB is presenting a charity bidding of 77 precious and nostalgic bus route signages. Proceeds from the bid will be donated to the KMB Charity Foundation and used for charitable purposes to assist the disadvantaged and people in need. The signages will be sold by tender on 29 November (Monday) from 4:00 p.m. to 20 December (Monday), 4:00 p.m. Interested bidders are required to bid on KMB’s online platform, KMB Shop. KMB will contact the successful bidder within 14 working days after the end of the auction.
The nostalgic bus route signages are mainly from Shing Mun Tunnels Interchange and Tai Po Industrial Estate Bus Terminus. The items include Special Bus Route No. 265S to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre, Route No. 73 to Wah Ming, Racecourse Bus Route No. 868 to Tuen Mun, and Route No. 47X to Kwai Shing (East). After replacing the new bus route signages, most of these signages with local colour and over 20-year of history are rarely seen today. The fonts and numbers are hand-lettered, making each one a unique collection.
The reserved price of the auctioned items ranges from HK$450 to $2,500. Prospective buyers are required to place a bid on KMB Shop before the deadline. KMB will contact the successful bidder within 14 working days after the end of the auction. Buyers who are interested in collecting bus-related items and supporting the community should not miss it.
