Service enhancement on KMB Routes 62X and 259D and introduction of Route 62P　 More direct and faster service between Tuen Mun and East Kowloon

From 19 December 2021 (Sunday), KMB enhances the services between Tuen Mun and East Kowloon, including: 

1. Route 62X [Siu Hong (South) ⇋ Lei Yue Mun Estate] upgrades to all-day service and extends to Siu Hong (South)

2. Route 259D [Lung Mun Oasis ⇋ Lei Yue Mun Estate] omits Tuen Mun Central, On Ting, and Yau Oi, providing express service for residents of Tuen Mun South to East Kowloon

3. New Route 62P [Tuen Mun Central à Lei Yue Mun Estate] provides service from Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays) in the morning peak hours at Tuen Mun Central to facilitate commuters who are working at East Kowloon.

Route 62X upgrades to all-day service and extends to Siu Hong (South)

Effective from 19 December (Sunday), Route 62X [Siu Hong (South) ⇋ Lei Yue Mun Estate] upgrades to all-day service and extends to Siu Hong (South). It also adds a bus stop at Tuen Mun Road Interchange to facilitate passengers transferring to different areas on various KMB routes. Details are as follows:

Route 259D omits Tuen Mun Central to provide express service between Tuen Mun South and East Kowloon

Starting from the same day, Route 259D [Lung Mun Oasis ⇋ Lei Yue Mun Estate] omits Tuen Mun Central, Yau Oi, On Ting, Siu Lun Court, Tsui Ning Garden, and Goodview Garden for East Kowloon bound. After passing through Tuen Mun Swimming Pool, it directly travels to Wong Tai Sin, San Po Kong, Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong, Lam Tin, and Yau Tong via Tuen Mun Road Interchange and Lung Cheung Road. For Tuen Mun bound, after travelling via Beacon Heights, it heads to Tuen Mun Road Interchange and Tuen Mun South, providing a more direct service to residents of Tuen Mun Pier and nearby throughout the day. The service hours and full fare of Route 259D remain unchanged.

New Morning Special Route 62P to facilitate commuters

In addition, KMB introduces a new Route 62P [Tuen Mun Central à Lei Yue Mun Estate], effective from 20 December (Monday), providing services between Mondays to Saturdays (except Public Holidays) in the morning peak hours. After travelling via On Ting, Siu Lun Court, and Goodview Garden, it heads to East Kowloon without stopping at Tuen Mun Road Interchange. Details are as follows:
