Free one-month BUS RYDE for KMB Passengers

KMB, YAS MircoInsurance and Generali Hong Kong have launched a new offer, particularly for KMB passengers to enjoy free one-month bus passenger microInsurance, BUS RYDE. Microinsurance covers up to HK$7,000, with a quota of 20,000. Passengers taking KMB routes are entitled to personal belongings and accident medical coverage, making travel more assured.

KMB and its partners, YAS MircoInsurance and Generali Hong Kong, send out 20,000 quotas of BUS RYDE1 with a one-month protection validity period. Passengers are entitled to personal belongings and accidental medical coverage up to HK$7,000 during the trip on any KMB routes (except Routes K12, K14, K17, and K18) to bring extra travel protection to citizens.

BUS RYDE is co-launched by YAS and Generali. From now on, 18 to 70 years old passengers with a valid Hong Kong Identity card can enjoy free one-month protection after completing the registration procedures on YAS official website2 or mobile app by signing up with their personal information. BUS RYDE will be automatically activated during the bus journey and applicable to all KMB routes, including day time routes, overnight routes, joint-operated routes running by KMB (except Routes K12, K14, K17, and K18). Passengers are entitled to personal belongings coverage up to HK$2,000 and up to HK$5,000 for accidental medical coverage3.

In addition, eligible KMB Monthly Pass holders can register BUS RYDE by the  Octopus card number or Octopus product via the Monthly Pass page on App1933, YAS official website, or its mobile app. Passengers can enjoy seamless protection from BUS RYDE once it is successfully activated. After the first registration, it will be automatically renewed when passengers purchase the KMB Monthly Pass again.

Please check the deducible amount of the Policy and prepare the Octopus card travel record before submitting the claim form. For a "Loss or Theft of Personal Belonging" claim application, please prepare the record of the police report within 24 hours of the incident, KMB enquiry case number, and the purchase receipt of the corresponding products, if possible. For the "Accident Medical Expenses" claim application, please prepare receipts for the corresponding medical and doctor consultations.
