KMB’s new-generation electric single-decker visits On Tat Four routes to be deployed with electric bus
Following the visits to Shau Kei Wan, Aberdeen and Wah Fu Estate, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has arranged its new electric single-decker to visit On Tat Bus Terminal in Kwun Tong today (21 May), with staff introducing to residents the features of new electric bus and roadmap of upgrading KMB’s entire fleet to new energy buses. Starting today, the new electric buses will be deployed on four routes to expand further its catchment areas, including Route 1A [Sau Mau Ping Central ⇌ Star Ferry].
KMB has been arranging its new-generation single-deck electric bus to visit various places, including Shau Kei Wan and Aberdeen, to introduce to the community the advantages of electric buses and show KMB’s commitment to the development of green transportation. The new electric bus came to On Tat Bus Terminal in Kwun Tong today, where citizens could board the bus and learn about the features of the new electric single-decker and KMB’s timetable and roadmap for the development of new energy buses from our staff. Leaflets with the specification of the new buses and souvenirs were given to the visitors. Some Kwun Tong District Councillors have also come to experience it.
New-generation electric bus to be deployed on four routes
The new-generation electric single-deckers have been deployed on Routes 6 [Lai Chi Kok ⇌ Star Ferry], 14B [Ngau Tau Kok ⇌ Lam Tin (Kwong Tin Estate)] and 203C [Sham Shui Po (Tai Hang Tung) ⇌ Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road)] since its commencement of service in last month. The new electric single-decker will be deployed on four routes starting today, including the newly added Route 1A [Sau Mau Ping Central ⇌ Star Ferry]. The popular trunk route travels along busy corridors in the heart of Kowloon, such as Nathan Road, Prince Edward Road and Kwun Tong Road, allowing more passengers to enjoy the benefits of zero-emission and serenity brought by electric buses.
