Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR KMB launches quadruple ride and shopping offers (Updated on 28 June 2022)

In celebration of the 25^th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) announced to launch quadruple offers, including “KMB Monthly Pass Buy 3 Get 1 Free”, full-fare rebate for all routes of Long Win Bus Company Limited (“LWB”) for KMB Monthly Pass holders, persons aged 60 or above enjoying free rides of the journey after crossing the harbour on cross-harbour routes, and up to 75% off of selected items on the KMB online shop, SHOP1933. The promotion period starts on July 1 and lasts for three months.

Offer #1：KMB Monthly Pass Buy 3 Get 1 Free

Passengers who activate a KMB Monthly Pass after successful registration in July can enjoy the “KMB Monthly Pass Buy 3 Get 1 Free” offer. Members of club1933 purchase and activate the first KMB Monthly Pass with their registered Octopus card or Octopus product and buy three more Monthly Pass consecutively can enjoy the offer^@. A $780 Octopus rebate will be refunded to the Octopus card via the Octopus mobile app or at an Octopus Service Point within ten to 30 working days after the fourth Monthly Pass was activated.

The Government has lowered the Public Transport Fee Subsidy Scheme threshold to $200, starting from May 1. Suppose you purchase four KMB Monthly Passes and successfully obtain both the $780 rebate and the Government’s subsidy. In that case, the average cost of the Monthly Pass is only $392, which is equivalent to enjoying the flexible travel experience brought by the KMB Monthly Pass at a discounted price as low as nearly 50% off.

^@ If the registered Octopus card or Octopus product is also entitled to other promotions and rewards (including but not limited to the previous “Buy 3 Get 1 Free Promotion”), the above promotion will not be applicable.

Offer #2：Free LWB rides with KMB Monthly Pass

During the promotion period from July 1 to September 30, 2022, KMB Monthly Pass holders can enjoy free rides on all 53 routes operated by LWB via the “Rebate-after-ride” arrangement. Passengers pay the fare first by using an Octopus Card or an Octopus product loaded with a valid KMB Monthly Pass when boarding LWB bus routes, then collect the full fare rebate through Octopus App or Octopus Service Point.

The relevant trips will not be counted in the ten daily trips of the KMB Monthly Pass.

Offer #3：Free rides on the after-crossing section for JoyYou card and Elderly Octopus holders

Under the “Rebate-after-ride” arrangement, persons aged 60 or above paying with JoyYou card, and aged 65 or above paying with Elder Octopus or Personalised Octopus cards, can enjoy free rides on the journey for all cross-harbour routes operated by KMB* after crossing the harbour, during the promotion period from July 1 to September 30.

Taking Route 968 as an example,

Causeway Bay (Tin Hau) bound, the road section after crossing the harbour is from “Western Fire Services Street Bus Stop” to “Causeway Bay (Tin Hau) Bus Terminus”;

Yuen Long (West) bound, the road section after crossing the harbour is from “Western Harbour Crossing Bus Stop” to “Yuen Long (West) Bus Terminus”.
