Route 67A, the only whole-day route connecting the city and Area 54 coming soon Residents to enjoy exclusive KMB Monthly Pass “buy 3 get 1 free” discount

The intake of two public housing estates in Area 54, Tuen Mun, Wo Tin Estate and Ching Tin Estate, will soon be commenced. KMB is ready to introduce the only whole-day route to the city in the district, Route 67A [Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate) ⇋ Kwai Fong (Kwai Tsui Estate)]. The new route is expected to be put into service by mid-July. KMB is also offering an exclusive KMB Monthly Pass “buy 3 get 1 free” discount for residents of Wo Tin and Ching Tin Estates to provide a value-for-money service to them.

Brand-new whole-day Route 67A connects Wo Tin, Ching Tin and the city

To facilitate the intake of public housing estates in Area 54, Tuen Mun, Wo Tin Estate and Ching Tin Estate, KMB is introducing Route 67A. Departing from Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate), 67A passes through the two newly established estates, Castle Peak Road – San Hui and Tuen Mun Road before travelling directly to Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Kwai Fong. 67A is currently the only whole-day service connecting Wo Tin, Ching Tin and the city. KMB expects Route 67A could put into service by July, with the commencement date and stop locations to be announced by the Transport Department.

Kelvin Yeung, KMB Assistant Operations Director (West Division), said, “There are construction works in Area 54 with certain transportation demand even though the intake of Wo Tin Estate and Ching Tin Estate have yet to commence. Therefore, KMB hopes Route 67A could be put into service as soon as possible so that worker there or residents-to-be who are preparing for the intake could enjoy the convenient service provided by KMB.”

Other than Route 67A, residents of Wo Tin and Ching Tin Estates can take a 5-minute walk to Po Tin Estate for other whole-day service of KMB routes to travel directly to Cheung Sha Wan, Yau Tsim Mong, Kowloon East or Hong Kong Island.

In addition, LWB Airport Route A34 and Overnight Airport Route NA33 are already providing a direct service to the Airport. Passengers may also transfer to North Lantau by interchanging to other LWB routes at Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Interchange.

Exclusive KMB Monthly Pass “buy 3 get 1 free” discount
for residents of Wo Tin and Ching Tin with fare per journey as low as $6.5

KMB is also offering a KMB Monthly Pass “buy 3 get 1 free” discount exclusively for residents of Wo Tin and Ching Tin, with each Monthly Pass costs 50% off or as low as $392 together with the transport subsidy from the Government. The fare per journey is only $6.50 (details refer to the appendix below). Residents of the two estates can enjoy a discount by simply register their Monthly Pass at designated KMB Monthly Pass kiosks. Details will be announced later.

The Regional Two-way Sectional Fare Scheme has commenced in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai. KMB hopes Route 67A to be included in the Scheme so that residents of Wo Tin and Ching Tin could enjoy a $4.60 section fare to travel to Fu Tai, Prime View Garden and Tuen Mun Central. Details are still pending by the Transport Department.
