Route 297 diverted to offer a direct service from Hang Hau to urban areas

From 18 September (Sunday) onwards, KMB Route 297 will be diverted to terminate at Po Lam and Hung Hom (Hung Luen Road) to provide a whole-day direct service for passengers in Hang Hau.

All-new routing: whole-day direct service to urban from Hang Hau

Effective from 18 September, Route 297 will be rearranged to ply between Po Lam and Hung Hom (Hung Luen Road). Departing from Po Lam, Route 297 will travel directly to Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Interchange, Kowloon Bay Commercial Business District, To Kwa Wan and Hung Hom via Hang Hau. Passengers from Hang Hau can thus enjoy a whole-day direct-to-urban service. As for return trip, Route 297 will also observe Hang Hau first before terminating at Po Lam. Passengers may also interchange to other KMB routes for Kowloon and Hong Kong Island districts at Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Interchange and Kai Tak Tunnel Interchange with an interchange discount offered.

Service of Route 297P [Hang Hau (North) (Tseung Kwan O Hospital) ⇋ Hung Hom (Hung Luen Road)] will remain unchanged.

En-route stops of Route 297 in Tseung Kwan O will be amended due to the route diversion. There will also be an additional stop, Hung Lok Road, for Po Lam bound. Details are as below:

Route 297 applicable to the Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Scheme

Enjoy intra-district rides with single fare as low as $5.4

The Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Scheme in Tseung Kwan O is still applicable to Route 297 after its service rearrangement. Passengers travelling from Po Lam to Hang Hau by Route 297 may get their fare rebate by tapping the same card when boarding the bus or scanning the QR Code at designated validators after alighting. Enjoy an intra-district ride within Tseung Kwan O with a single fare as low as $5.4.
