Free rides on KMB Routes 1 and 108 sponsored by the movie ‘Table for Six’
The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) and a family comedy 'Table for Six' join hands to launch a “KMB Free Ride Day” on Sunday (6 Nov). Passengers can enjoy unlimited free rides on KMB Route 1 and Route 108. Apart from the free ride sponsorship, Edko Films Ltd. also arranges six exclusive livery buses with photography of main cast running around the city.
Just like the story of ‘Table for Six’ showing different characteristics of Hong Kong, the routeing of two designated routes of the “KMB Free Rides” can let you taste the most of Hong Kong as well. Family riding on Route 1 [Chuk Yuen Estate ⇌ Star Ferry], not only could take a closer look at the changes of Yau Tsim Mong District, the heartland of Kowloon, and learn the history of Kowloon Walled City Park, but also get to enjoy the amazing view of Lion Rock, while reflecting on the story of ‘Table for Six’.
As for the Route 108 [Kai Yip ⇋ Braemar Hill], a cross-harbour route solely operated by KMB, travels along cultural sights, food places and Instagram spots in Hong Kong, such as Lai Tak Tsuen, a Rare Cylindrical Public Estates in Hong Kong, and Kai Yip Recreation Centre, awards winning sports centre. Travelling through To Kwa Wan, where a lot of cafés with exquisite interior design located, Route 108 is perfect for dating.
Interchanges at Kowloon City to elevate travel experience
Both Routes 1 and 108 passing by Kowloon City, passengers of Route 1 can alight at Nga Tsin Wai Road or Prince Edward Road West Bus Stp, and take Route 108 at Regal Oriental Hotel Bus Stop, and vice versa. While passengers riding on Route 1 and going to Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry enjoy the splendid scenery across the Victory Harbour, passengers of Route 108 going to Braemar Hill could hike up to the Red Incense Burner Summit, overlooking the spectacular landscape of Hong Kong.
On 6 Nov, Passengers can enjoy comfortable bus services without paying fares when boarding on KMB Route 1 and Route 108. KMB will reserve bus operating resources, deploy additional outdoor staff, and show a display at the front of the buses to remind passengers to enjoy the free ride experience on the event day.
