Going barbeque or picnic? KMB can help! Double-decker to be deployed on KMB Route 275R to speed up passenger flow Selected KMB routes direct to barbeque sites

Autumn is the time for families to dive into nature. As the Government has announced the reopening of barbeque sites from Thursday onwards, KMB and LWB are also enhancing services of Route 275R [Tai Po Market Station ⇌ Wu Kau Tang] and Route R33 [Tuen Mun Station ⇌ Disneyland]. Be sure to check out our selected direct services to barbeque sites and enjoy a fun time with your relatives and friends this fall.

Double-decker to be deployed on Route 275R to cater to passenger flow

The countryside in Tai Mei Tuk, Bride’s Pool and Wu Kau Tang is one of the hotspots for hiking in autumn. Together with the easing of social distancing measures, such as the reopening of government barbeque sites, it is expected that there will be more visitors in weekends. KMB is pleased to announce that double-deck buses will be deployed on Route 275R [Tai Po Market Station ⇌ Wu Kau Tang] starting from this Sunday (6 November) with the approval from the Transport Department. The double-decker deployed meets the Euro 6 emission standards with a passenger capacity of 125 to provide a more eco-friendly service and effectively address passenger demand.

Route 275R observes both Pat Sin Leng Country Park and Plover Cove Country Park, where offer various choices of hiking trails and barbeque sites. Passengers can alight at Bride’s Pool and walk along the Bride’s Pool Nature Trail to visit the two spectacular waterfalls of Bride’s Pool and Mirror Pool. The terminus of Route 275R, Wu Kau Tang, also serves as a starting point of numerous trails. For amateurs, the Double Haven Country Trail is a good choice where hikers can taste the culture of Hakka in the walled villages of Sam A Village and Lai Chi Wo and visit the unique winding White-flowered Derris there. For the return trip, simply backtrack to Wu Kau Tang and take Route 275R to Tai Po. The Plover Cove Reservoir Country Trail is suitable for experienced hikers. The trail surrounds the Plover Cove Reservoir that offers an overlook and ends at Tai Mei Tuk where KMB Route 75K [Tai Po Market Station ⇌ Tai Mei Tuk] and Route 275R are available. Passengers going barbeque may alight at Chung Mei Barbeque Site or Chung Pui Barbeque Site. These bus stops are so convenient that they are located right next to the entrance of the barbeque area.
