Interchanging is so simple: All-new Choi Hung & Ngau Chi Wan BBI and Tai Wo Hau BBI introduced Renovation work at Kwun Tong Road BBI completed An easier way for passengers to travel between the East and West
The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has introduced all-new bus-bus interchanges (“BBIs”) in Choi Hung, Ngau Chi Wan and Tai Wo Hau with signage and platform numbers ready at the bus stops and route information added to the mobile phone app, App1933 to elevate passengers’ interchange experience so as to encourage passengers to make use of the extensive KMB bus route network. Furthermore, the renovation work at Kwun Tong Road BBI, one of the major transport hubs for passengers travelling between east and west, has also been completed allowing passengers to enjoy that “Interchanging is so simple”.
All-new Choi Hung & Ngau Chi Wan BBI to connect mid-level Kowloon and the New Territories
The all-new Choi Hung & Ngau Chi Wan BBI covers bus stops along Choi Hung and Ngau Chi Wan to provide residents a more convenient way to travel. Passengers departing from Choi Wan, Shun Lee, Anderson Development Area, Sau Mau Ping and Clear Water Bay Road may first make their way to Choi Hung & Ngau Chi Wan BBI to interchange to other KMB routes for destinations in Kowloon or the New Territories. KMB has assigned platform numbers for easier way-finding when interchanging.

For example, passengers from HKUST to Tsuen Wan may take Routes 91 [Clear Water Bay ⇋ Diamond Hill Station] or 91M [Po Lam ⇋ Diamond Hill Station] first to Platform H3, Ngau Chi Wan BBI, and then walk to Platform H2 behind for Routes 40 [Laguna City ⇋ Tsuen Wan (Belvedere Garden)], 40P [Kwun Tong Ferry ⇋ Tsuen Wan (Nina Tower)], 290 [Tseung Kwan O (Choi Ming) ⇋ Tsuen Wan West Station], 290A [Tseung Kwan O (Choi Ming) ⇋ Tsuen Wan West Station] or 290X [LOHAS Park Station ⇋ Tsuen Wan West Station] to Tsuen Wan with a $4.2 interchange discount offered.
All-new Tai Wo Hau BBI to redefine travelling means for Shek Wai Kok and Upper Kwai Chung
KMB has also set up a BBI at Tai Wo Hau Station bus stop along Castle Peak Road – Kwai Chung and Tsuen Wan with platform numbers assigned: A1 and A2 for Kwai Chung bound and B1 and B2 for Tsuen Wan bound. There are routes for the Northwest New Territories, Shek Wai Kok, Shek Lei and On Yam. Passengers from Shek Wai Kok and Upper Kwai Chung may make their way to Tai Wo Hau BBI first and interchange to other KMB routes for locations in the Northwest New Territories. Passengers departing from the Northwest New Territories can also interchange to Route 235 [Kwai Chung (On Yam Estate) – Tsuen Wan (Circular)] and enjoy a $4.2 interchange offer. Passengers from Tseung Kwan O and Kowloon East may also enjoy concessionary interchange fare when interchanging to other Long Win Bus routes to Lantau Island at this stop. Suffice to say, the BBI allows passengers to reach out in all directions.

Kwun Tong Road BBI to offer over 50 routes as interchange choices
Kwun Tong Road BBI is the first group of bus stops having platform numbers assigned by KMB. It covers around 60 groups of bus stops and over 50 bus routes along Kwun Tong Road, Lei Yue Mun Road and Tseung Kwan O Tunnel BBI. Passengers of Route 5R [Kai Tak Cruise Terminal – Kwun Tong apm (Circular)], intra-district routes in Kwun Tong and routes for Tseung Kwan O, LOHAS Park, Kwun Tong, Lam Tin, Yau Tong and mid-level in Kowloon East may enjoy fare concession when interchanging designated KMB routes at Kwun Tong Road BBI. KMB has published a route map on some platforms, listing the catchment areas of each route in detail.

KMB’s mobile phone app, App1933, includes route information of Choi Hung & Ngau Chi Wan, Tai Wo Hau and Kwun Tong Road BBIs. Together with the “Nearby Routes” function, passengers can look for the estimated time of arrival of interchanging routes at the BBIs for easier journey planning.
KMB is also renovating more BBIs by stages to add clearer signage for passengers to easily find their way to the interchanging routes and travel to their destinations. There will also be more interchanges in various districts to encourage passengers to fully utilise our extensive bus network and offer more valued and convenient options for a more flexible travel plan.
