KMB to resume Route W2 to cope with the reopening of High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station
To cope with the reopening of High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station on 15 January (Sunday), The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. is resuming Route W2 [Jordan (West Kowloon Station) – Lam Tin (Circular)] with changes on its routeing.
High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is reopening on 15 January. With the permission of the Transport Department, KMB is resuming Route W2 running to and from the West Kowloon Station to facilitate passengers in East Kowloon to take the High Speed Rail for the Mainland. Route W2 will also be re-routed, with the new one departing from Jordan (West Kowloon Station) and circulating between Kowloon Bay Business Area, Kwun Tong and Lam Tin. Passengers departing from the High Speed Rail Station can enjoy a more direct service to Kwun Tong. The new routeing also favours passengers travelling to the West Kowloon Station from Kowloon Bay Business Area and Kwun Tong.

Interchange discount will be offered to passengers travelling from Tseung Kwan O, On Tat, On Tai or Yau Tong taking designated KMB routes and interchanging to Route W2 at Kai Tak Tunnel BBI to the High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

In addition, KMB has already strengthened services of Route W3 [Sheung Shui ⇋ Jordan (West Kowloon Station)] by extending the service hours to most of the daytime to facilitate passengers in North District, Tai Po, Sha Tin and Tai Kok Tsui to direct and express travel to High Speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. Passengers may also interchange to Route W3 with a “top-up” discount offered up to $13.3 at Fanling Highway BBI or Tsing Sha Highway BBI.
